Barbie x Vans
Girlhood. Girls grow up in a world of expectations and learn how to push the boundaries in a world of rules. Thanks to icons like Barbie, girls see they’re capable of anything.
Inspired by the Barbie Universe, we created a collab campaign around ‘Girlhood’ that celebrates feminine individuality and expression. We worked with a range of models to represent different styles and identities.
The look and feel of the campaign reflected the surrealistic tone of the Greta Gerwig film. Photographer, Anna Koblish and Parker Hao captured content on-set to mirror the ‘Real World’ VS. ‘Barbie World’ undertones in the film.
To get the word out, Vans partnered with a series of influencers. We created and shared custom boxes with items from the campaign to get people excited.
